For his Buns; The Bunny Mat

Basically a small mattress for Flint to sit on, to keep his buns warm and his feet happy... It's a rectangle of half inch foam, with quilting fabric underneath and cotton batting with fleece above.

It's fun, it's small and padded, and not very complicated. He LOVES it!

A Moment to Keep

Conversation of the day:

I say with concern, "I wish the test was tomorrow. I feel like I can't possibly be more ready."

...pause...

Me again, "I don't feel ready, but I can't become more ready."

...pause...

Daniel had been staring at the ceiling and looking perplexed, obviously pondering another puzzle entirely. This is pretty normal for him. I watched the wheels in his head turn for a few moments while he finished his thoughts, then allowed my statements to register.

The subject change appeared on his face as he very briefly glanced my direction and gave both the shortest, but most genuine loving eye-grin, full of understanding, as though he'd felt exactly the way I described many, many times. His mouth didn't smile, just his eyes. "I love you."

Surprised he even heard what i said, I asked, "Because I'm a nerd?"

"Yes." And the subject of conversation was lost again to the puzzle in his head.

Truly, this is such a strange, but amazing part of marriage that I absolutely appreciate. Sometimes we are individually SO ODD... but together, it makes sense.
